Welcome to the Pacific Highway, F3 Freeway to Raymond Terrace upgrade website. The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) started investigations in December 2004 into upgrading the Pacific Highway by providing the 'missing link' between the F3 Freeway, south of John Renshaw Drive and the Raymond Terrace bypass. The upgrade will include an additional crossing of the Hunter River.
The concept design for the F3 Freeway to Raymond Terrace upgrade has been developed.
This 12.2 km dual carriageway upgrade would improve safety and relieve traffic congestion on this section of the Pacific Highway. The planning project is being funded by the NSW State Government.
The July 2008 community update describes the concept design for the upgrade and how it was developed.
Please see the concept design display page for more details.
The F3 Freeway to Raymond Terrace concept design will be on display until 15 August 2008.
